Our Young People are Really Helping Out!

Young People by Bickel Family

Several of our young adults and older teenagers have really stepped up to help out and be responsible for the classes, nursery, opening and closing of the building and work that must be done before and after every service. Please pray for these young people as God continues to work in their lives and that they would have a desire to glorify Him in all that they say and do.

A New Church is Born

On June 26th the Lord allowed us to start a new work in the area of San Diego de Tres Rios. Over half of the congregation in Cartago were from this area. The Lord lead us to take those people and plant a church in their city. The very first service we had 52 people present and a young lady named Ana received Christ as her savior. We are starting out in a warehouse. There is an area for the auditorium and another section for a class and nursery. We also have classes outside under the entrance and the teenagers are still having class in the children’s home bus.

Thank You for Your Prayers!

Daniel in the Hospital by Bickel Family

Our son Daniel was injured in May when a delinquent from the local high school shot out our sliding glass door with his slingshot. The broken glass cut Daniel severely. He received 34 stitches and started healing fine. However, a month later, the wound became infected. Cellulites spread through his leg and he was eventually hospitalized in the national children’s hospital. It took them several days to even determine what type of infection he had. Day after day we watched other parents receive bad news…have their children taken off to surgery…one little boy even lost his leg. We received emails from Christians all over the world telling us that they and their church were praying for Daniel. Praise God! After a week in the hospital his infection finally responded to the antibiotics and he was able to come home.
